Lauren is a librarian rabbit who takes her job seriously. She knows where every book should go, how to keep the shelves tidy, and making sure her patrons can find the book easily. She also hates it when people are late returning books, with most of the ire going to a frequent patron Mr. Wolf, who never seems to know what “due date” means.

Helping Lauren out at the library is her apprentice/kid brother sidekick, Dewey DeSmall, a tiny child fox who has an obsession with eating eggs for meal. Rounding up the cast is Gutenberg, a cat who manages the library Lauren works at.
